We wanted to post these pics of a truck out here in Bakersfield. Our site is all about custom rods and the crazy things people do to build them. Well here’s a guy, who put a 1959 ford 1/2 ton pick-up Body on his 1984¬†Ford Ranger Pick-up Truck Rolling Chassis. Check out these pics. Pretty creative if you ask me. Looks like a 390fe motor, auto trans and a good looking finished product. Satin red and white walls give it a good look. This truck reminds me of the Studebaker you have posted, late model chassis with an old school body. It takes some effort but you can build some cool rides if you just put alittle effort and alittle cash into it! we love you guys over at www.ratroduniverse.com

Hey guys, People have been modifying cars and parts for ever and hot roddiing is where that happens. That 59 red ford pickup looks pretty cool, but could use some finishing touches…..I ‘ve heard of a neighbor of mine addapting a model A coupe body to a late 70’s chevy LUV chassis. I don’t know how it came out….but the concept we interesting.

The 59 Ford was one of the ugliest models they ever built… this guy did a good of making a cool rat rod out of a potentional rat wreck. NICE

  11. richard says:

can you please tell me how you had the front windshield made or cut? Thanks

  12. Roger says:

This windshield is a cut piece of plexi-glass. For rat rods and custom cheap builds this is a pretty decent way to do it. As you probably know….cutom glass is very expensive, especially when you chop the top of a your ride.
